![]() Nevertheless, limited evidence compared the usefulness of these two major risk scores and their association with both in-hospital events and long-term outcomes in contemporary East Asian patients. Studies proved TIMI’s advantage in its simplicity in clinical application and GRACE's favorable discriminative power. GRACE and TIMI are the two most popular prediction models in ACS developed during the prereperfusion era and have been compared face to face mainly in the Caucasian population. Therefore, there is an essential need to assess individual risk easily and accurately. Guidelines recommend that high-risk patients receive more aggressive invasive treatment upon risk stratification on admission. Risk assessment was crucial in guiding therapeutic decision-making. However, NSTEMI patients have a large range of clinical consequences, from minimal sequelae to early death. A major component of ACS, Non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), has more than twice the incidence compared to ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). The prevalence of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) has increased significantly during the recent 30 years in China. The sequential use of TIMI and GRACE scores provide an easy and promising discriminative tool in predicting outcomes in NSTEMI East Asian patients.Ĭardiovascular disease remains the main contributor to the cause of death globally. GRACE showed better predictive accuracy than TIMI in East Asian NSTEMI patients in both in-hospital and long-term outcomes. Combined use of the two risk scores reserved both the convenience of scoring and the predictive accuracy. 0.68 long-term cardiac mortality: 0.91 vs. GRACE risk scores showed a better predictive ability than TIMI risk scores both for in-hospital and long-term outcomes. Compared to TIMI medium group + GRACE < 140 subgroup, the TIMI medium + GRACE high-risk (≥ 140) subgroup had a significantly higher in-hospital events (39.5% vs. Further subgrouping the TIMI medium group showed that half (53.5%) of the TIMI medium risk population was GRACE high risk (≥ 140). GRACE score grouped most patients (45.7%) into high risk, while TIMI grouped the majority (61.2%) into medium risk. ResultsĪ total of 232 patients were included (female 29.7%, median age 67 years), with a median follow-up of 3.7 years. Long-term outcomes were all-cause mortality and cardiac mortality in 4-year follow-up. In-hospital endpoints were defined as the in-hospital composite event, including mortality, re-infarction, heart failure, stroke, cardiac shock, or resuscitation. Patients were scored by TIMI and GRACE scores on hospital admission. This retrospective observational study consecutively collected patients in a large academic hospital between 01/01 and and followed for 4 years. Limited study compared two risk scores, the Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) and Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events (GRACE) risk scores in the current East Asian NSTEMI patients. Risk stratification in non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) determines the intervention time.

Reported health problems of both Ronald and Robert were said to have been partly due to breathing in of the materials that they sprayed on the glass, even though the fumes were vented outside. Many items completely melted before they could be finished, thus there was a certain amount of loss. To iridize existing glass pieces, the glass was heated almost to its melting point before being sprayed with the chemical salts. The Hansens bought the glass which they iridized from companies such as Deganhart, Fenton, Guernsey, Imperial, L.G. Ronald signed his pieces "Ron Hansen" or "Ronald E.Hansen". Robert signed his pieces "Robert Hansen" or "RGH". Signatures were etched into the base of a piece. Most of the Hansen glass does have a pontil mark, but there will be a few that don't. Robert's shop was in Bridgeport, Michigan. Ronald's shop was in Mackinaw City, Michigan. The two brothers never really worked together. In 1960, Ronald started iridizing glass to sell, which was probably the true beginning of new carnival glass. Ronald taught Robert how to iridize glass. My latest review reflects Altice's contempt for their HFC customers who are stuck on Coax until the Altice Fiber buildout reached their homes. Altice has promised that If I change my service, this will also change. Service remains unchanged but only because I'm grandfathered into the older uploads. My dealings with tech support have made it clear that dropping Optimum is my best option. I would have expected a scolding but instead, the techs are just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. ![]() ![]() I've been honest with them about what I did. I've been working with tech support for 5 hours. I'm an unhappy customer because getting out of purgatory is difficult to impossible. I think I mixed the streams and got put into some group of misbehaving customers at Optimum. How I shot myself in the foot: I got a new Fiber connection from Frontier and tried to configure things to send my server traffic out Optimum and my web surfing traffic out Frontier. Until two days ago, my experience was the very good side. Altice has two plants, a Fiber plant where things are generally good to best and a coax plant where things range from bad to very good. If you need support, it will be difficult and painful to get. If you have an alternative, you probably want to steer clear of this product. Please see my reviews of Frontier Fiber and Verizon FiOS. I think I shot myself in the foot here. I've moved tech support up one notch because I had a tech visit today and the tech was good. The technicians who remain are very good at the mainstream product line but there's a heavy emphasis in their training on replacing equipment. Customer service has really suffered under Altice's ownership. I got no help from customer service here and had to figure this out on my own. I had to rent a modem have the rental modem attached to my account then re-attach my purchased modem to my account. ![]() They will work with you and our entire team to select the best dental supplies, dental equipment, and dental practice solutions. Lastly, Inej – my knife wife – seems to be cool with human trafficking until she figures out Alina is a living saint. His name is a mystery and Alina is the only person in that world to know it, which felt special, but here he just throws his name around like it means nothing. Yes, his first name is Aleksander, but in the books that’s revealed very late. (You can read the interview here!)Īlso, I keep calling him the Darkling, because that’s how I knew him for 7 books. In an interview with Insider, the showrunner explicitly said they weren’t trying to do that and even actively tried to avoid it, but nothing in that scene told me they weren’t romantically involved. Her death causes the creation of the Fold, making it feel like fridging (where the girlfriend/wife/love interest of the male protagonist dies in order to propel his story). ![]() In that tidbit from the past, he seemed enamored with a Grisha called Luda, who did not exist in the books, but came across as a love interest in that scene. Speaking of the Darkling! Due to budget constraints and everyone adoring Ben Barnes (he is a great actor), they opted to not show the Demon in the Woods short story as part of a flashback, where the Darkling would have been only 10 years old, but rather showed a grown up Darkling.Apparently, people wouldn’t be put off enough by his disregard for consent and need to control everyone around him. I worry about this change, not just because she eventually absorbs the antlers into her body entirely and they are not visible anymore at all, but also because it makes me feel that the producers thought putting a literal collar on a person was not horrific enough and they needed another violation of Alina’s body to showcase the Darkling’s evil nature. When the Darkling puts the antlers on Alina, she does not get a badass necklace, but rather the antlers fuse into her collar bone, making it an extremely uncomfortable scene to watch. I think that’s all pretty cut and clear, so, why did the show change them into some kind of body horror? The Grisha who killed the animal the amplifier is from has the power over it. Grisha can only have one amplifier in their lifetime (yeah, I know exceptions exist) and can never take it off. and can be anything from a necklace to a bracelet or ring. Amplifiers in the books, while still kind of barbaric, are jewelry made out of bones/scales/claws/etc.The problem is that they never contextualize this behavior, because they simply claim that being at war with Shu Han is enough to warrant the hostility, but that’s really not the take they thought it was. Every time they inserted a slur such as “rice-eater” or “half-breed” it felt forced and unnecessary and I imagine hurtful to certain audiences. Nowhere in the books was this kind of racism ever present and we are dealing with a Fantasy world where Alina already faces enough struggles and could have dealt with a number of different circumstances that made her feel othered if that was what they wanted to portray so badly. This was a choice made to bring more diversity to the on screen adaptation, but where they went wrong (in my opinion) was by adding anti-Asian slurs and racism to portray the treatment of people from Shu Han. In the books, Alina wasn’t biracial though. They have great chemistry with on screen partners and I’m so very glad they got cast for this role. Jessie is a ray of sunshine and hence amazing to watch as the sun summoner. Casting Jessie Mei Li as Alina was a beautiful choice. It did not overshadow my enjoyment entirely, because I binged the show in a day, but I find it necessary to point them out regardless. Adding this coarse sugar helps carmelize the top of the tart. You'll need some ripe peaches, I don't bother with peeling them but if you prefer then go ahead!
